SUMMER 2017 PROGRAMS & ACTIVITIES:
Enjoy a free movie night on the beach at Horseshoe Lake...movie begins at dusk, around 8:30pm. Bring a blanket and snacks; plus, the snack stand will be open!

TriHarder Kids Triathlon-Now on Thursday, July 20th
Register now for this fun event, for kids ages 4 through 14. The triathlon will take place at Horseshoe Lake on Thursday, July 20th. Each race will include swimming, biking and running. The best part is when your child crosses the finish line! Participation medals to all; this is not a timed event. Sign in at 5:15pm, and the event begins at 6pm. More info on flyer. Paddle Days at Horseshoe Lake
Celebrate the Grand Opening of Ramsey Outdoors’ Paddle Days at Horseshoe Lake! Canoes, kayaks, and stand up paddle boards are available to rent on a first come, first served basis. If under 18 years of age, must be accompanied a parent or guardian. Open Tuesdays-Sundays, 11am-6pm. Rentals are $20 for one hour, $30 for two hours. Lessons are offered at Horseshoe Lake for ages 3 through adults, at an amazingly low cost. Register at the Rec Office; all new registrants must be water tested before signing up. Swim lessons begin on June 26th. More info in packet.
Lego Summer Camp-Ages 5 to 6
Intro to STEM using LEGO Camp is August 14,-18, 9:00am - 12:00pm in the Teen Center at Roxbury Recreation. Tap into your imagination with tens of thousands of LEGO® parts! Build engineer designed projects such as Boats, Snowmobiles, Catapults, and Merry-Go-Rounds. Then use special pieces to create your own unique design! New and returning students can explore the endless creative possibilities of the LEGO® building system with the guidance of an experienced Play-Well instructor. Registration info on flyer. Fee: $145.
STEM Challenge using LEGO Camp-Ages 7 to 12
This camp is August 14-18, 1:00pm - 4:00pm in the Teen Center at Roxbury Recreation. Power on your engineering skills with Play-Well TEKnologies and tens of thousands of LEGO® parts! Apply real-world concepts in physics, engineering, and architecture through engineer designed projects such as Catapults, Pneumatic Cranes, Arch Bridges, and Battletracks! Design and build as never before, and explore your craziest ideas in a supportive environment. An experienced instructor will challenge new and returning students to engineer at the next level. Summer Lacrosse Camp
This camp is specifically designed for players entering 5th through 8th grade in the Fall of 2017. Camp runs July 24th-27th, 6:30pm-8:30pm at the Roxbury High School Turf Field. More info on registration flyer.

FALL 2017 PROGRAMS & ACTIVITIES:
Cross Country Team
Join the fun and RUN! For kids in the following birth years: 2002-2008, ages 9-15 (no high school kids). Registration begins July 10th, and end on August 14th through your Community Pass account. Practice for the 2017 Season will begin at 6pm on Monday, August 28th at the Bandshell on the island of Horseshoe Lake. Practices will be held Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 6pm through November 3rd. More info on flyer. Fee: $50.
Jr. Gaels Football
For boys entering in 3rd through 8th grade as of September 2017. Practice will begin on August 14th, and will be held Mondays through Fridays throughout August. Games will begin in September, and run through early November. Registration opens on March 20th online and in-person at Roxbury Recreation. Deadline is June 17, 2017. Helmet, shoulder pads and uniform included; please supply football cleats (no screw-in cleats allowed). For additional information, please view flyer. Fee: $125; $250 for two children, $300 family max.
NFL Instructional Flag Football Clinic
This program is for children age 5 through 8 as of December 1st, 2017. It includes learning the fundamentals of flag football. No experience necessary. The program will be held on Monday and Wednesday evenings beginning September 11th at the Horseshoe Lake fields, 6pm-7:15pm. Coaches needed too! Please register online or in-person at Roxbury Recreation for clinic and coaching. Register online through your Community Pass account, or at the Rec Office. Fee: $50, includes NFL Jersey.
Roxbury Youth Ice Hockey
Registration is now open for the 2017-18 season. This program is open to boys and girls ages 4 through 16. Our teams play in the Morris County Youth Hockey League at Mennen Arena, and practice is held at Aspen Ice in Randolph. There are 18 regular season games against other teams in Morris County.
