A Special Neighborhood Meeting
was held by the Township Council of the Township of Roxbury on August 16,
OPEN PUBLIC MEETING STATEMENT
Notice is hereby given that a
Special Neighborhood Meeting of the Township Council of the Township of Roxbury
will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at 7:00 PM at the Township Municipal
Building, 1715 Route #46, Ledgewood, New Jersey. This meeting is being
held for the purpose of general discussion with Township residents
Adequate notice of this meeting
of the Township Council of the Township of Roxbury was given as required by the
Open Public Meetings Act as follows: Notice was faxed to the Daily
Record, the Newark Star Ledger and the Roxbury Register on August 4, 2006;
notice was posted on the bulletin board in the main hallway of the Municipal
Building on August 4, 2006.
Roll Call: (Present)
Councilwoman Kathy DeFillippo, Councilmen Tim Smith, John Ciaramella, Fred
Hall and Mayor Schmidt
Christopher Raths, Township Manager; Anthony Bucco, Township Attorney and Rick
Blood, Assistant DPW Director.
Councilman Hall presented an
overview of the Recreation Department. Mr. Hall also is the Liaison from
the Council on the Recreation Committee. Mr. Hall answered all questions.
Mr. Hall outlined the bike path, ball fields, soccer fields and the continued
effort of the Recreation Committee to grow with the needs of the community.
Mr. Smith answered questions
regarding open space grant applications.
Mr. Raths gave an update on the
“To Do List” with regard to the goals the township is working on and the
completed projects as of this date.
Mr. Rick Blood, Assistant DPW
Director discussed the proposed bid for the required update of the catch basins
as required by the DEP. Discussion also took place pertaining to the need
for additional speed signs and Mr. Blood answered any relevant questions.
At 10:00 PM Mr. Hall made a
motion to adjourn the Neighborhood Meeting. Mr. Smith seconded the
