Minutes of the Neighborhood Meeting of the Township Council of the Township of Roxbury held at Fire Company #2 Annex, Shippenport Road, Landing, New Jersey.

 

Roll Call:  Councilwoman Kathy DeFillippo, Councilman Fred Hall, Tim Smith, Martin Schmidt Richard Zoschak and Mayor John Ciaramella.

 

Also Present:  Christopher Raths, Township Manager; BettyLou DeCroce, Township Clerk.

 

Township Clerk, BettyLou DeCroce read the Open Public Meeting Statement.  The Neighborhood Meeting convened at 7:00 PM.

 

Mr. Raths had a PowerPoint presentation and went over the Five Year Plan for the township.

 

Further discussion took place with regard to the current projects in the Landing area pertaining to Lake Shore Sidewalks, Landing Road Recreation and the Villages Subdivision.

 

Residents had concerns with regard to park areas and the safety of the children when visiting any of the parks in the township.  Discussion ensued with regard to this topic and Mr. Raths will look into the possibility of having surveillance cameras, which could be utilized for safety, and be able to have it directly to the Police Department.

 

Discussion ensued with the public on various topics and Council members and the Manager answered their concerns.

 

At 8:45 PM Mr. Zoschak made a motion to adjourn the Neighborhood  Meeting.  Mr. Smith seconded the motion.
